Alang Salacsac, formerly known as the Kayapa Trilogy, features a scenic day-hike circuit that includes Mt. Tugew, Mt. Cabo, Mt. Kabuan, and the optional Mt. Sadjatan. The route showcases open ridges, pine forests, and 360° mountain views, offering both adventure and serenity amid Nueva Vizcaya’s highland landscapes.

LOCATION: The hike is located in the barangay of Brgy. Alang Salacsac, in the municipality of Kayapa, province of Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines.
ENTRY POINT: The entry (and exit) point is at the Barangay Hall of Brgy. Alang Salacsac, Kayapa, where hikers register and pay environmental/heritage fees and secure a local guide.
EXIT POINT: The exit point is the same as the entry point—returning back to Brgy. Alang Salacsac after completing the peak circuit.
DIFFICULTY: Rated 3/9 (Minor climb)—the trails are generally gentle but still require some physical fitness due to exposed ridges and open slopes.
HEIGHT: Mt. Tugew at approximately 1,467 meters above sea level, Mt. Cabo at around 1,320 meters, Mt. Kabuan reaching about 1,457 meters, and the optional Sadjatan Peak standing at roughly 1,438 meters above sea level.
TREK DURATION: The Alang Salacsac Tri-Peak/Quad-Peak hike typically takes 6 to 8 hours to complete, depending on pace and weather conditions. It usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the first summit (Mt. Tugew), followed by 30–45 minutes each to Mt. Cabo and Mt. Kabuan. If hikers include the optional Mt. Sadjatan, an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour
